Thank you so much to Irene Eckert for this brilliant and provocative presentation! I was born the same year as CCF, and always wondered why I had trouble appreciating the work of some of the authors she mentioned who were connected to CCF. Now I know. Yes, we need to appreciate the inspiring work of Schiller and his ilk. We need more art, music and thought that uplifts the human spirit and reminds us of our power to generate beauty, goodness and truth.

Irene said she has trouble finding a German speaking audience that is receptive to these ideas. Can she connect with Daniele Ganser? Matthew and Cynthia met him last March in Basel, and Cynthia quotes extensively from his book on Operation Gladio in her book on the British Empire and fascism.

Daniele is another courageous truth-telling historian who believes in our deeper humanity and the potential for inner and outer peace. He gives lectures all over Germany, Switzerland and Austria to huge audiences. Perhaps he could post a talk by Irene in German to his large online community. I've heard him drop the names of Schiller and Goethe in passing, but not elaborate further on their significance. As a Swiss, he should be reminded of the profound importance of Schiller's play Wilhelm Tell, both for the late 1700's and today!

Well written 👏! I never knew Orwell's "Animal Farm" was intended as a satire of Stalin's Russia.
